scars. There is also a story of the month so that affected

cleftAdvocate
The cleftAdvocate site serves as a source of education and inspiration
for families dealing with cleft palate or lip issues. Through its
family-to-family connection, the site brings families together
from around the world so that they can share their experiences
online. It offers a feature of the month, live teleconferences,
a large photo gallery, and a comforting friend to patients following
surgery — a free doll that is created to look your child.

of Dimes
The March of Dimes provides information and an opportunity for you
to e-mail the specialists at the March of Dimes who will answer your
questions regarding birth defects. You can also participate
in an online chat and subscribe to receive a free online newsletter.
National
Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD)
The NCBDDD provides information on a variety
of birth defects and looks at the causes of birth defects. There
is information on national conferences and events as
well articles on topics such
as the dangers of drinking alcohol during pregnancy, the ABC's
of having a healthy pregnancy, and child development. This
site also features national statistics on birth defects.
